Dolomites On-Piste Skiing Safari

Dolomites Ski Safari in the Land of Gourmet Flavors

Combine some of the most fantastic skiing in the world, with fine dining on incredible Italian cuisine… What could possibly be better? A ski safari on world-renowned pistes from Cortina d’Ampezzo to Alta Badia in the Dolomite Mountains, of course!

Trip Overview

Embark on an unforgettable ski journey through the breathtaking Dolomites, where world-class skiing meets exquisite culinary experiences. This unique ski safari takes you across the vast Dolomiti Superski area, a winter sports paradise boasting an impressive 1,200 kilometers (746 miles) of meticulously prepared pistes spread across 12 interconnected resorts.

Throughout the safari, you'll have the opportunity to savor the true flavors of the Dolomites. From world-class dining at gourmet restaurants to the hearty traditional fare at charming mountain inns, every meal will be a celebration of the local cuisine.
Your adventure begins in the chic town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, where you'll spend two nights. On your first evening, you’ll indulge in a sumptuous 3-course dinner, setting the tone for this gastronomic skiing adventure. Experience skiing from Tofana di Rozes to the slopes at Cinque Torri (Five Towers), where you can challenge yourself on the brand new Lino Lacedelli piste that the athletes of the 2026 Olympic Games will qualify on. You’ll finish the day with your first night in a cozy rifugio where you can relax and enjoy a classically-cooked, mouth-watering, alpine dinner.
Next, you’ll ski the Civetta and Passo San Pellegrino ski areas where the Alleghe, Selva di Cadore, Zoldo and Palafavera valleys are rich in history and tradition. At the end of your skiing day in San Pellegrino, you’ll be picked up by a snowcat and whisked to your rifugio for the night with a beautiful view of the Pale di San Martino peaks. This rifugio is renowned for delicious dishes and heartwarming hospitality—a mountain experience not to be missed!
A highlight of your journey will be skiing on the Marmolada Glacier, affectionately known as the "Queen of the Dolomites." As the highest peak and the only glacier in these mountains, it offers an unparalleled skiing experience with breathtaking views.
Your adventure concludes with a two-night stay in Val Badia, where you’ll ski in the Val di Fassa and Alta Badia areas and ski a part of the Sellaronda, one of the world’s most amazing circuits!

Accommodation

Great hotels with Dolomite Mountains. Whether intimate lodge, family run B&B, or luxury spa resort, our hotels are unique, eminently local, and hard to leave.

Want to learn more about our Hotels and B&Bs?
The Dolomites has a multi-faceted culture and history that is reflected in each village we visit, and we make sure to provide you with the most authentic experience of the region possible through the hotels and B&Bs we offer. Hotels and chalets are available in the larger villages, while agriturismos (working farms with accommodations similar to B&Bs) are more common in rural areas. And we always make sure you have access to inspired regional cuisine, and the best panoramas you can get in the Dolomites!

Want to learn more about our Mountain Inns & Rifugios?
Rifugios – or mountain huts in English – are the classic accommodation for hikers, climbers, mountaineers, and ski mountaineers in the Alps. Set in spectacular locations high in the Dolomites, rifugios are accessible only on foot (with a few exceptions that are reachable by car). These marvelous establishments are open primarily in the summer, with a select few in winter, and offer meals and sleeping facilities.
The Dolomite rifugios are considered the best in the Alps. While some are dormitory style with bunk beds, many meet the standard of a simple guest house with private rooms and en-suite bathrooms, and each has its own unique character and charm. Bedding and linens are provided, hot showers are available, and meals are served in common dining areas – like a small mountain inn set high in the mountains with the most incredible vistas in the Dolomites. Whether you’re hiking in summer or skiing in winter, an overnight rifugio stay is not to miss on a Dolomite holiday.

Dolomite Mountains offers fantastic extensions that you can enjoy before or after your trip in the Dolomites. There's no more perfect way to recover from jet lag upon arrival, or delay your return to reality at the end of your trip!
