Skiing the Alps – Beyond Italy’s Dolomite Mountains
From Chamonix to Zermatt, Arlberg to Courmayeur – France, Switzerland, Austria, and, of course, Italy – the westernmost section of the Alps is right at our doorstep!
Breathtaking. Dramatic. Distinct. There are countless words that describe the magnificent Alps. The largest and highest mountain chain in Europe, this crescent shaped range crosses eight countries with ~100 peaks exceeding 4,000 meters (13,000'). The arc of the Alps forms Italy’s entire northern border, making it perfect to visit as part of a trip to the Dolomites, or as a trip all its own!
The Alps feature fantastic terrain for both on- and off-piste skiing, for beginners and champions alike. And the ski resorts are sublime – everything from the luxury of St. Moritz and Lech, to the off-piste and backcountry of Verbier and the Val d'Isere. The options for skiing holidays are endless! Plus, you’ll be dazzled by the snow-covered peaks that extend as far as the eye can see. As you cross borders into different regions, you’ll be equally captivated by the unique charm of each mountain landscape, the variety of languages spoken, and the distinct cultures and cuisines.
While our home and hearts will always be in the Dolomites, we love to explore new terrain as much as the next person…
Join us in the Alps!
