Dolomites Multipitch Climbing Adventure: YDS 5.8/5.9 or UIAA VI/VI+ grade

Arrive in Cortina d'Ampezzo (1,224m / 4,016') and check into your hotel (private transfer available on request). Host to the 1956 Winter Olympics, Cortina enjoys a reputation for great skiing in winter and, in the summer, attracts hikers and climbers who challenge the rocky faces of the nearby mountains. This chic alpine town also offers many year-round social activities, shopping, and fine dining options.

The Cinque Torri is a small mountain range belonging to the Nuvolau group within the Dolomiti Ampezzane, just South-West of Cortina.
The name, which means "Five Towers” refers to the five main spurs that form this range.
Theatre of some of the bitterest fights between the Italian and Austrian troops during the First World War, today these mountains are home to the most extended open-air museum dedicated to the Great War.

After breakfast you will meet your local English speaking UIAGM/IFMGA Professional Mountain Guide with whom you will check your equipment; then you will take a private transfer to the climbing area.
The first day is always a warm-up day which is crucial to becoming familiar with your guide and the Dolomites. During the briefing you will discuss all the different climbing options which best suit your abilities and weather conditions.

Passo Falzarego is a 2,109m / 6,919’ high mountain pass, located between Lagazuoi and Col Gallina. During WW1, the Dolomite frontline between Austria and Italy ran exactly across this area, which witnessed not only heavy fighting but also a great loss of lives. In 1958 a WW1 memorial chapel was built on the pass to commemorate the human tragedy which unfolded.
In the morning, after discussing the several climbing options with your guide, a private transfer will take you to the Falzarego Pass.

Today, you can enjoy a well deserved rest day or integrate your adventure with a self-guided hike in the Catinaccio area, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Dolomites.

The Sella Massif is an enormous, fortress-shaped group of mountains, which lies among the four Ladin valleys of the Dolomites:  Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, and Livinallongo del Col di Lana. The Sella is truly a haven for outdoor sports, with an excellent network of paths. Windswept and snowbound for an extended season, the group boasts a 3,152m / 10,341’ pyramidal peak, Piz Boè. Undoubtedly the most dramatic lookout peak accessible by walkers in the Dolomites.
In the morning, reach Passo Sella with a private transfer. There are several climbing options that can be discussed with your guide.

Passo Pordoi (2,239m / 7,346') is one of the four passes along the Strada delle Dolomiti (Dolomite Road), built in the early 1900s to connect Bolzano with Cortina d’Ampezzo to bust the development of tourism in the Ladin valleys.
In summer, Passo Pordoi is a privileged starting point for challenging hikes, via ferrata, climbs or easy walks.
