Alta Via n. 1 & 2 Hiking Experience

Just finished my second self guided trek with companions. This time for 12 days over some of the best parts of Alta Via 1, 2 and 4. Having completed major tramps at home (New Zealand) Bhutan, France and Nepal I rate the Dolomites as the most rewarding overall. Some advice; book early for the best refugios, hire a guide for a day, they are great people (do a Via Ferrata or the Lagazuoi WW1 tunnels). Dolomite Mountains is a professional company, both treks were organised perfectly.
