Hiking Traverse: Val Gardena, Alta Badia and Cortina d'Ampezzo

We all had a wonderful vacation in the Dolomites, thanks to Dolomite Mountains Tours!  The hotels were first class.  Our guide, was wonderful.  Very professional, knowledgeable, and managed to keep the group together, in spite of the different paces of the participants!  The transportation was clean, professional, and always on-time.  The planned hikes were challenging, but not overpowering.  And the scenery was spectacular. Your firm planned and executed a wonderful trip.  We have taken tours sponsored by Mountain Sobek, and Nat Geo, and this trip planned by your firm was every bit as good as Sobek and Nat Geo.  Absolutely no problems!  Everything worked like clockwork.

I would concur with Jeff’s comments completely.   We have traveled together as a group (sometimes 3 couples and up to  5) and enjoyed our time on every trip, however this trip was absolutely the best! First off, the  schedule, efficiency, general management of the itinerary and the coordination was flawless – which is always wonderful.
Our guide was excellent.   As Jeff mentioned, he did an incredible job managing all the people, spending the right time with all folks and knowing when to pick up or slow down to support a member.   He was fun, knowledgeable and very balanced in his approach….a true pleasure, and as you know guides make a HUGE difference.
The hikes were awesome!   The food and the refugio stops were excellent.   We were blessed with wonderful weather. Hotels were great!!!    If I were to give one observation, while the hotel in Cortina was excellent, it did not stand up to the  hotels in the previous spots.    The others had wonderful spas and Jacuzzi and cool bar areas to hang out…which was a lot of fun at the end of the day. This one was limited in this area…but maybe that is Cortina!
