Claudio was born, raised, and currently resides in Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the Dolomites. He is keenly aware of how magical a destination this is, a once-in-lifetime location for many mountaineers and hikers. Claudio earned his Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, focusing on the interaction between nature and humanity. For years, his career kept him far from the mountains, but during a mountain bike ride he realized there was a way he could live, work, and contribute to the people of highlands: become a guide. Today, a hiking and biking guide, Claudio can be found doing these same activities during his free time! In winter, he turns to ski touring, which gives him the ability to explore the mountains in a different guise. He also enjoys snowshoeing, and rock and ice climbing, which allow him to use the mountaineering skills he has learned during his years living in the mountains.
