Michele Barbiero
The call of nature for Michele has always been strong, so strong in fact that he left a life in town for the mountains. “The space that I had around was never enough, since I was a child when the horizon was that of the lawn behind the house…” For over 20 years, Michele has been living in and climbing the mountains all over Italy. He has made over 500 climbs across the arc of the Alps, opening new routes and winter ascents. He has also explored the peaks of far away countries, appreciating the extensive views from great heights in Alaska, Turkey, Nepal, France, Austria, and Peru. He is a member of the Alpine Rescue as a rescuer and instructor, and a tree-climbing expert, lecturing on safety at work. Michele is “an alpinist, a traveller, a photographer, a person in love with the world of nature and mountains.
Now my dream has come true and I wish to invite you to join me on the rope and share the daily gift I receive even at home, when I am looking out from my window: a wonderful nature.”
